Hey, I'm a full time independent web developer for the last 7 years. I'm comfortable with PHP/MYSQL/Javascript and use it almost daily.
I'm self taught, and learned BASIC probably 25 years ago on a Commodore 64. I also taught myself Visual Basic many years later. I have never built a complete game but recently got into using Unity and have been periodically studying game mechanics for several years now (games have always been a part of my life).
I prefer strategy and simulation games, but also get down with FPS and RTS. Don't play many sports games.
