Hi, my name is Garrett. I'm currently taking a CIS class and am leaning QBasic. The reason for this is because it'a a very easy language to start off with for a beginner. I tried learning many other languages but I can't seem to stick with them. So finally I decided to stick with c# since it's pretty easy and it's pretty good for game making. I wanted to start out using XNA for game making but it didn't feel right for me. I went on /r/gamedev and found that unity was a great engine that you could use for free. So I started watching some tutorials (the hack and slash tutorials on youtube) to get a feel for it, and I seemed to like it. Then in my free time I went back on /r/gamedev and found /r/unity3d and found this forum.

Hey Garrett, how were those hack 'n' slash tutorials? I thought they looked pretty intimidating (there's like 200 of them right?).
Great to have you here, I'd say we have enough people to get started now.
